Actual size is 7.75" x 11.75". The board appears to be made of 3 layers glued together for a thickness of 0.75". Total height including bamboo wood feet is 1.25".
The board is smooth with no splinters. It sits decently squarely on the table, however one leg seems to be a tad short introducing a very slight rocking. The underside of the board is also smooth, with a PINZON logo etched into the middle.
The board top closely resembles the picture, with the alternating light and dark strips of wood. The bottom is all a solid color, which in my opinion actually looks better than the top, but oh well :)
UPDATE: I've used this board a lot the past year and it is still holding up great. I expect it will last me a long, long time. Upgraded to 5 stars from 4.

I am really happy with the quality of this cutting board. They have nice padded feet to help secure the board. At this price. They are nice to have around as a housewarming gift.
